NCBCC Specialty Updates

The weather forecast for our specialty day looks pretty good so far!! Looking forward to seeing everyone next week.

A few reminders (for those who only glance at the Judging Program):

  • We’re outdoors this year as the Cow Palace is being used as a vaccination center. If you’ve joined us before, DON’T enter thru the north gate as in the past. Exhibitors, workers, and volunteers will enter through the South Gate
  • The site is NOT AVAILABLE until after 3 on Thursday. (They say that every year. Every year our people come earlier. Every year we get a little yelled at. Please comply. We have a later start on Friday than usual. Don’t rush it)
  • There are no public grooming tents and no electric. The guidance from the committee is to bring your own pop up tent and come prepared to work out of your car. (This was in all caps – so I think they’re serious). They also stressed… No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted
  • On the bright side, there’s no exhibitor parking fee on Friday and we have amazing prizes to win and simply the best toys for all our puppy and veteran sweepstakes participants

ALSO – don’t forget our fundraising!! Our show is a bit smaller this year and we appreciate all your support raising funds to offset the cost of hosting. We still have 17 tickets on the Dyson hair dryer, and 21 on the Impact crate. We’ll draw as soon as they’re all sold. It’s open to anyone, any breed.

NCBCC Specialty Fundraising!

Listen up! We have four fantastic fundraisers going on between right now and the day of our Specialty: Friday, April 23, 2021.

You could win an Impact Crate, a Dyson Supersonic dryer, a Flying One dryer, or a SimpleGroom grooming table — and the best part is, you can choose the size and color and have it shipped right to your doorstep!

All the details are at the NCBCC Fundraising page. All the tickets are in limited supply, so hurry up and get yours now!

NCBCC Agility Trials, October 29-31, 2020

They’re on! Our Agility Trials are taking place at the end of October at a new venue: The Carroll Indoor Sports Center in Westminster, MD. We’ll be running one ring, indoors on turf.

In the meantime, it’s never too early to volunteer. Agility trials need many hands to be successful, but most of the jobs are simple and don’t require any training. Questions? Ask Linda.
